Lactation Consultant
Our midwives are available at all times to help you establish a good breast feeding routine with your baby. However, we will support and encourage whichever method of feeding you choose.
If you need further assistance with breast feeding during your stay, we can arrange a visit from a lactation consultant.
This is an outpatient service and will attract a fee which may or may not be covered by your health fund. It is best to check with your fund to make sure.
Our Lactation Consultant also runs a lactation class every fortnight on a Thursday from 10am-12pm in the H1 Patient Lounge that all patients can attend. To book or find out more about the classes please call (08) 9400 9200.
For information on how to achieve the best possible breastfeeding experience for you and your baby, please download our Breastfeeding Booklet.
