We have amongst the most modern private maternity rooms in Perth, with luxury finishes like super comfortable beds and high quality linen.  

Our birth suites are equipped with a private ensuite with bath, a couch and an entertainment system.

Once you have had your baby, you will enjoy the comfort of our private maternity ward rooms complete with a fridge, baby bath, flat screen television and ensuite bathroom. All of our ward rooms are private meaning you won't be sharing with another patient.

Partners are also welcome to stay and rooms with double beds are available. 

The ward also features a dedicated parent lounge with tea, coffee and refreshments available 24 hours a day.

During your stay with us you will also enjoy freshly cooked premium meals from our extensive private menu.

Our meals can be bespoke to your needs and tailored to your tastes. We can also cater for dietary restrictions and those on special diets.

Extra care

Mother Baby

Some newborns need extra care, such as those born prematurely or who are unwell.

Being in a hospital that has the back-up of specialised equipment and expertise provides peace of mind.  

At Joondalup Private Hospital, you’ll have access to our Neonatal Unit which provides specialised care for babies born up to eight weeks premature.

Support during pregnancy


Joondalup Private Hospital has a specialist maternity ultrasound service on site with state-of-the-art equipment, to allow high-tech imaging throughout your pregnancy. 

Having a baby can be an exciting time – but it can also be highly emotional and bring up a range of feelings. 

To support you, you can access the ‘Trimester Club’ which provides education and support during and after your pregnancy.

To help recover from the birth, mothers and babies can also access our post-natal hydrotherapy classes led by a physiotherapist. Our specialised physiotherapists also offer free post-natal physiotherapy sessions on the ward to assist in recovery.  

Parents-to-be are very welcome to tour our private maternity ward and birth suite. Tours are held every Sunday from 2.30pm – 3pm. Bookings can be made through our ward clerk Monday to Friday between 8am – 8pm on 9400 9200.

Booking your admission made easy

Once your pregnancy has been confirmed and you have arranged an appointment with an obstetrician, simply complete our private obstetric online booking admission form. Your hospital stay is not guaranteed until you have completed your admission form so we recommend you do this as soon as possible. 

You will receive an automatic email reply to confirm that your online registration has been received and any other information you may need is available on the website. 

Please note that your maternity booking at Joondalup Private Hospital is not guaranteed until we have received your completed online admission. 

Your obstetrician and/or midwife will provide you with details of how to complete your online admission however if you have any difficulties please email or telephone private reception on (08) 9400 9916 between 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday. 

Private health insurance

We recommend you contact your private health fund as soon as possible to confirm your level of cover and advise you if there is an excess or co-payment on your policy.
