The hospital has 150 beds and provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and day services across a wide range of specialties including the latest in surgical technology, comprehensive cardiac, respiratory, orthopaedic services, and rehabilitation and acute aged care. Joondalup Private is the only private maternity hospital in Perth’s northern suburbs, providing a comprehensive range of personalised services from conception to birth, partnering with you throughout your special journey.
As a private patient, you have the benefit of choosing your own specialist, many of whom have consulting rooms conveniently located on-site in one of our two Specialist Medical Centres (East and West).

Joondalup Private Hospital is a standalone private hospital with the unique benefit of being co-located with Joondalup Health Campus, one of the largest hospitals in Western Australia providing public patient services for the entire family from birth through to old age.
This co-location provides all patients with additional assurance through access to high level services such a comprehensive Emergency Department with a dedicated paediatric area, a 10-bed Mental Health Observation Area, 12 modern operating theatres, an interventional cardiac catheter laboratory, intensive care and high dependency units, dedicated day procedure unit, 16-cot Neonatal Unit, After Hours GP Clinic and endoscopy suites.
A $190 million expansion of Joondalup Private Hospital is underway and includes six new operating theatres, four post anaesthesia care unit bed bays, two day procedure rooms, a day of surgery admissions unit, a 22-bed short stay surgical ward, six cardiac care beds, and 30-bed medical/surgical ward. The expansion is due for completion in early 2026 and will offer our community even greater access to high quality private healthcare, with a broader range of elective and emergency private services.
We are also excited about the expansion of public services at Joondalup Health Campus which will also deliver more operating theatres, one new interventional cardiac catheterisation laboratory, a Cardiac Care Unit, and a range of other new and upgraded facilities. For more information click here.
