Neonatal Special Care Nursery
Our Neonatal Unit is a Level 2b special care nursery and provides care for babies with illness and premature babies born up to eight weeks early. It is designed to provide medical and nursing care that is tailored to suit your baby’s specific needs.
The Neonatal Unit has 16 beds and is supported by highly experienced neonatal intensive care trained staff, lactation consultants and midwives. Paediatric support is also available 24 hours a day.
Onsite Maternity Services
Having a baby can be an exciting time – but it can also be highly emotional and bring up a range of feelings.
To support you, you can access the ‘Trimester Club’ which provides education and support during and after your pregnancy. The Trimester Club is a unique service for private maternity patients having their first baby at JHC. It allows first time mum's to attend meetings fortnightly, with a midwife from around 18 weeks gestation until they have had their baby and beyond.
To help recover from the birth, mothers and babies can also access our post-natal hydrotherapy classes led by a physiotherapist. Our specialised physiotherapists also offer free post-natal physiotherapy sessions on the ward to assist in recovery.
Joondalup Private Hospital also has a specialist maternity ultrasound service on site with state-of-the-art equipment, to allow high-tech imaging throughout your pregnancy.
