Dr Raja offers his services at Joondalup Private Hospital,Joondalup Health Campus and has pubic appointements at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Osborne Park Hospital and Perth Eye Hospital.
Background & Training:
After completing his primary medical degree (MBBS) in India, Dr. Raja embarked on the 3-year Master of Surgery-Ophthalmology program at the world’s largest eye care system – the Aravind Eye Hospital and Postgraduate Institute of Ophthalmology from 2001-2004. He moved to the UK to pursue further specialist registrar training in Ophthalmology at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital and The Oxford Eye Hospital from 2004-2012, with fellowships in glaucoma and vitreo-retinal surgery.
Dr. Raja did his advanced sub-speciality training in vitreo-retinal surgery at Oxford Eye Hospital under Dr. CK Patel, Dr. Paul Rosen and Professor. Robert Maclaren. He then moved to Perth, Australia in 2013 to complete his second fellowship in medical and surgical retina with Professor. Ian Constable at SCGH and at the Lions Eye Institute, Perth.
